The American Revolution

Here is a French Soldier looking at us as we take some photographs at The Siege of Yorktown shortly before the surrender of General Cornwalis!

The Children hand opainted the French soldiers- the eye is pretty amazing detailing! The Children all worked together on 3-D recreations of The Battle of Bunker Hill, The Battle of Trenton, and The Siege of Yorktown, with the help of the French, the war ended, and a new country- The United States of America, got started.  

This week we will listen to some oral reports, some oral presentations by battlefield tour guides, and a Summative Assessment on Friday.

In the coming weeks, we will learn more about WESTWARD EXPANSION, The dawn of the INDUSTRIAL AGE, The WAR of 1812, and the approaching conflict with Mexico as the United States began to acheive it's Manifest Destiny.
